Jade’s fingers drummed on the steering wheel as she waited at a stop sign for another driver to go. She was driving to Robbie’s apartment yet again, this time for a movie and food. And to hopefully patch things up with him, but he didn’t know that part yet. She felt awful for what she’d said to him that afternoon, telling him that they would never be more than friends. Yeah, Jade could have been more gentle when she told him, but she had to get her point across. While it did upset him, it was better that he knew it. Still, though, she wanted to make sure that he was okay, which was what she planned on doing. She eased onto the gas, pulling onto the road that his apartment complex was located. She watched the street signs whir by, turning sharply when she reached the entrance to his place. Jade quickly parked and got out, jogging up to his house. With a sigh, she knocked briskly on the door.
